Improving resilience, health, wellbeing & success
Intrigued by how to develop more resilience, as well as how to help my clients to do so, I attended Adaptive Resilience’s excellent oneday training programme. I came away with some surprisingly powerful practical activities that can be done daily to maintain a more positive and objective approach to difficult situations. In short, to help minimise the wear and tear of an immensely busy and often emotionally demanding job.
Adaptive Resilience delivered a leadership development programme for senior leaders of Children’s Services in England. The team’s contribution focussed on building personal resilience in order to be able to lead in what can be emotionally and physically challenging circumstances. The sessions were exceptionally well received by participants due to the combination of a theoretical underpinning and evidence base, with practical exercises and the tutors’ unique and sensitive style of engaging the group.
Dr Gruenewald has been an exemplary contributor to the UK Government’s Major Project Leadership Academy delivered by the Saïd Business School. He is courteous towards participants and demonstrably engaged in how they connect with the substance of the session he is delivering.
I would recommend this training to anyone interested in learning and practicing simple, accessible and powerful ways of generating emotional and psychological resilience in their lives and within their organisations. Since introducing it at Sunfield, there has been a noticeable increase in staff members’ appreciation and awareness of the importance of emotional resilience. This has led to positive changes in how the organisation thinks and behaves in relation to enhancing the emotional wellbeing of both students and staff.
